Event Overview

Event Informational Overview: The 2026 Met Gala
Hosted by The Met | Coordinated by The Costume Institute | In collaboration with Vogue UV and A-5 Studios.

On June 6, 2025, The Metropolitan Museum of Art will open its doors for the second time, for a heavily requested annual Met Gala, a dazzling evening curated by The Costume Institute in collaboration with Vogue UV. Of the many in the public eye, 70 invites were sent out to those who will each contribute to an unforgettable night of glamour and creative expression.

The theme, “The Art of Alluring Decay,” is set to explore beauty through transformation, inspiring an array of evocative, intricately crafted ensembles that embrace imperfection as artistry. We anticipate a striking display of weathered textures, distressed fabrics, and silhouettes that balance fragility with strength.

Attendees are expected to interpret the theme through looks that feel both haunting and elegant—blending fading glamour with bold creativity, and bringing to life a vision where decay becomes not an end, but a captivating form of beauty.

Leadership of this year’s event will be announced soon, with individuals expected to bring vision, artistry, and innovation to the night’s production.

The evening is set to feature electrifying performances from a lineup of dynamic artists, with special appearances and unforgettable moments anticipated throughout the night. From captivating stage presence to a powerful closing performance, each act will contribute to an immersive experience that extends beyond fashion alone.

A night of high fashion, transformative storytelling, and breathtaking performances—this year’s Met Gala is expected to be a defining moment, where creativity and spectacle come together in celebration of The Art of Alluring Decay.
